Remarks LT Perske and LT John Sachs were part of Z Special Unit, an Australian Army group that performed special operations. They were carried aboard BREAM, and did not return from a "folboat" (2 man canoe) attack.  Post-War records show that they were captured during a raid off Great Masalambo Island and taken to Java, where they were executed.
