The following man was lost while serving on the relief crew of USS Darter (SS-227).
He was not lost when Darter went aground on October 24, 1944, nor in
action against the enemy, but rather had died in an accident.

Note: Former Darter crew member Alphonse Lewis died in an auto accident in October of 1946.
